Linux patch improves desktop performance

A small patch for the linux kernel, which groups tasks by the tty on which they are running, to optimize scheduling, makes multitasking on the desktop much smoother and more responsive:

Funny in a way, since linux fans always tended to claim that linux is a great desktop OS, and there are no issues with response latencies on the desktop etc.

Well, I hope they like this patch anyway, even though it dramatically improves a problem that they never had in the first place Smile
